Banner Cascade Pipeline
Blackburn Consulting performed a geotechnical investigation for this pipeline project intended to increase raw water delivery capacity and reliability
for agricultural customers and local water treatment plants. The project included over 5.5 miles of 48-, and 36-inch
diameter raw water pipe, parallel 8- and 12-inch
diameter treated water pipeline, a new outlet control facility
on the Lower Cascade Canal, a new flow control facility and encasement of a portion of
the Upper Grass Valley
Canal. Our services included drilling and sampling, trenching, seismic refraction, field
resistivity, and an extensive laboratory testing program. We prepared technical memos for preliminary
design, a Geotechnical Design Report, a Geotechnical Data Report, and a
Geotechnical Baseline Report.
