Grant Line Road and SR 99 Interchange

Blackburn Consulting completed the Foundation, Geotechnical Design and Materials Reports for reconstruction of the existing interchange, associated frontage road, and Grant Line Road corridor improvements. The project involved replacing the existing interchange with a partial cloverleaf interchange, extending and widening Grant Line Road, and realigning several roads within the project limits. Our work included subsurface exploration, laboratory testing, and engineering analysis for bridge and retaining wall foundations, embankment and approach fill stability and earthwork, soil corrosion potential, culvert support, and pavement rehabilitation and structural section design. We completed all work within the proposed budget and schedule prescribed by the prime and City.

Blackburn Consulting also prepared Hazardous Materials Site Investigation Reports for an industrial storage site and towing/auto repair center site located within new ramp limits, and completed an Aerially Deposited Lead (ADL) Evaluation report to address the potential for encountering ADL during site grading activities along SR 99. We also completed an Initial Site Assessment for Hazardous Materials along the Grant Line Road Widening portion of the project. These reports involved utilizing environmental data resources, surface and subsurface exploration, soil sampling, laboratory analysis for hydrocarbons, solvents, and heavy metals, and reports of findings and recommendations.
